Why Visit Jordan

Jordan is one of the most fascinating countries in the Middle East – offering a unique blend of ancient history, natural wonders, and warm hospitality. Though not large in size, it is incredibly diverse and captivates every traveler with its rich atmosphere.

Petra, the ancient rock-cut city carved into rose-colored cliffs, is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and Jordan’s top attraction. Walking through the narrow canyon Siq, which opens up to the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), is an unforgettable experience.

Nature lovers will be amazed by Wadi Rum, known as the “Valley of the Moon,” where films like Lawrence of Arabia and The Martian were filmed. A jeep tour across the red sands or a night under the stars in a Bedouin camp offers a truly unique adventure.

Another must-see is the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where you can effortlessly float on the surface thanks to the high salinity, and enjoy the mineral-rich mud known for its healing properties. In the north, you’ll find Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside of Italy.

A spiritually significant site is Mount Nebo, where according to the Bible, Moses saw the Promised Land before he died. The panoramic view from the summit is breathtaking – on clear days you can see the Dead Sea, Jericho, and even Jerusalem. The site includes a memorial to Moses and remains of a Byzantine church with beautiful mosaics.

And perhaps the most valuable treasure of all – Jordanian hospitality. The locals are incredibly kind, respectful, and always ready to welcome visitors with tea, a smile, and a story.
